Ok, so im pretty sure this is a virus, but please leave me with your opinion / knowledge on this.
Here are my computers symptoms.
Incredibly slow internet. Takes about 3 - 5 minutes to load any page.
RAM problems. My RAM is being eaten by something, whether a virus or not. Ive recognized a significant performance decrease.
Ctrl + alt + Del / ctrl + Shift + Esc / Taskman.exe do not work.
I made a shortcut to taskman.exe on my desktop and tried clicking that too, but whenever i use any of these shortcuts to try and open task manager, nothing happens. absolutely nothing.
it does NOT present and error such as (disabled by administrator) or something to that effect, it does absolutely NOTHING.
Undetected by antivirus. Polymorphic? FUD?
Like i said if this IS a virus, my antiviruses wont find them. I tried PC tools (what used to be PC doctor) and it found a few things, i removed them, scanned again, nothing, but still my computer is laggy.
So then i tried Avast and scanned (quick scan and full scan) and neither time was anything detected.
I then tried Malwarebytes and it found nothing on flash scan, quick scan or deep scan.
So please help me. Is this a virus? Whats a good tool to get rid of it? How can i restore my RAM and taskmanager?
(I scheduled a boot scan with Avast on next boot, which i havent done yet.)

Hi Havik,
I agree with Mike S that it sounds suspiciously like a rootkit. My personal preference is to use ComboFix which seems to work great for rootkits. I have notes on my blog site on how to get it and use it: http://www.jbwebtech.net/blog/post/2011/鈥?/a> It's also free and works really well.
I often times use more than one tool to remove infections. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is usually good too, but you already tried it. So ComboFix is what I would start with, then probably move onto HijackThis from TrendMicro ( http://free.antivirus.com/clean-up-tools鈥?/a> ), but you need to know what you're looking at and what to remove with HijackThis. I would also try Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware again because I do believe that's a good one, but try running it in Safe Mode and AFTER you've run ComboFix. I also use Spybot Search %26amp; Destroy. It's also free. It's not as popular as it used to be, but I still find it effective. There's a link to it at the bottom right if you scroll down my home page ( http://www.JBWebTech.net ).
I hope you get this one. Let us know.
Thanks!
JB
