Hi Shawn - The only thing you can do is uninstall those drivers. And the best way to do it is to put your old video card back into the computer, boot 'er up and install the old drivers for the old card. I am thinking this will get you back into your operating system.

Next, if you still have the box for the card, I would go to the manufacturer's site and download the latest driver for the new card.

This time, don't uninstall any drivers, just put the new driver you just downloaded into a temp file so you know where you put it.

Turn the computer off, unplug, and install the new card.

Boot the computer and you will see that you have the awful VGA stock driver running, the icons are huge. Don't worry! Go into Control Panel into Add New Hardware and point the Add New Hardware wizard to where you put that new driver and follow the manual installation instructions. I bet this gets your driver installed and you will not have a conflict.

In case this still results in a BSOD, write down everything from the BSOD screen, including stop error and all of it, come back here and ask a new question, post all the information from the BSOD so we can help you troubleshoot.

In the mean time, another way to get a good driver is to just go to nVidia and download their huge stock driver. This is the next step.

Or you can just go to nVidia yourself if you cannot find the manufacturer site, and download the stock nVidia driver which should work correctly and not cause BSOD's.

Give it a whirl - uninstall the new card, reinstall the old one, get that driver and reinstall the new card like I said.Question about COmputers and OSs?
take out the new graphics card and see if the computer boots up.

if it does, make sure that everything is working; files, internet, games, etc.. then, shut down the computer and disconnect all the wires/cords from behind it. open up your computer and install the graphics card. * make sure that it is getting the right amount of power. (the BSOD usually means that there is a hardware failure, if your power supply is not strong enough, you'll need to upgrade.) I believe you'll need about 650 watts for the power supply just in case. if you have enough, and the card is hooked in properly, with the proper power wires,,... and still doesn't work. i suggest you return it and get the same card from

EVGA , same thing only higher quality.

good luckQuestion about COmputers and OSs?
Try removing the new graphics card and trying to boot up with your old one. Sounds like you might have a DOA. Test it out and see if that works.
