What are the locked files on the C drive for?

I have several locked folders on my laptop and don't know what they are for.



They are called:

I can access them as an administrator, but when I try accessing anything inside of these folders, I get a error saying "You have been denied permission to access this folder. To gain access to this folder you will need to use the security tab."



Because this is my own personal laptop so there is no system administrator involved to have put the files there or lock me out of them. I have tried using the security tab to dig further into these folders, but every time it blocks me out.



What are these folders and files for?

Are they harmful to my computer?

Should these folders be kept or removed?What are the locked files on the C drive for?
The System Administrator is an operating system account that cannot be accessed by users including administrator. You don't need to alter these files as they're generated when you first install the operating system on any workstation; add new hardware/user profiles; setup local security/networking; et al. Worry not, nobody is on your computer remotely generating these particular files.What are the locked files on the C drive for?
Those are all Microsoft downloaded Software on the computer including drivers and updates, hotfixes, and patches....they are vital to keep.........Leave those folders alone.....What are the locked files on the C drive for?
They are part of your operating system. Ie the serial keys for the programmes needed to run your computer
They are probably system files that are vital to your OS. Just leave them alone.
