I recently bought a computer case from my friend but we have both completely forgotten what the case is called... can anyone help?

What is that big hole used for???



Do you know there are literally hundreds of thousands of cases that have been built in the last ten years, every make, brand, style, color, model...they are like cars - there are more varieties and kinds and brands. But I am clueless as to what the hole functions as or is supposed to be.What is this computer Case Called?
ATX Container of course. I knew that one came in a suit case with A's and X's.
